It was a really great event that I was proud to be a part of.Britt Bravohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02134123127272499735noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15585808.post-26214400795488274702007-07-02T12:30:00.000-07:002007-07-02T12:30:00.000-07:00Well done Britt - in this one piece you've managed...Well done Britt - in this one piece you've managed to demonstrate all the positives that women bring to the earth - community, dedication and a willingness to share information.

I wouldn't have known some of the panelists without this piece. Thank you.

Alli inspired me to be creative and play nice with her "cultivate cultures of appreciation." Ilyse encouraged me to speak from my soul to reach the many. Melinda recognized this need for women to collaborate and talk and started Women's Earth Alliance to showcase and enhance their work. Reem put everything back into business terms and threw the green glove at bigger companies by winning the WRAP of the Year award amoung 12,000 different manufacturers.

What I thought was really interesting is that some of the things that Ilyse said MoveOn was focused on, i.e. health care, climate change, energy independence... those things were already handled by the SCS standard that Reem worked with via fair labor and product Life Cycle Assessment. It gave her the information she needed to decrease her waste and much more. It made me wonder how much more could be accomplished just by having all products certified. Looks like it works faster and in a more positive action than laws.

Thanks for posting the full conversation. It was worth the read.
MaryAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15585808.post-47826544609299984172007-06-30T14:45:00.000-07:002007-06-30T14:45:00.000-07:00These are amazing woman..very inpirational!
