Swimming with a Sea Turtle (Video): Water Wednesday

On World Oceans Day (June 8), I pledged to highlight the oceans on Have Fun * Do Good for four weeks. For this fourth and final week, I'm sharing a video of a sea turtle swimming in Hawaii.

Watching this video, I can't help but think about one of the top emailed and viewed New York Times stories today, The 'Busy' Trap.  Maybe we all need to take a lesson from the sea turtle, and slow down. If you're feeling a little overwhelmed today, watch the turtle swim.  Nothing really happens.  Just a turtle gliding through the turquoise water. That's the beauty of it.

If you'd like to learn more about sea turtle conservation, check out these orgs (note: I'm not familiar with their work, just providing the links as a resource):
Also, read this Treehugger article by Jaymi Heimbuch, First Ever Map of Floating Plastic Aims to Save Baby Sea Turtles.

P. S. If you'd like me to continue with the Water Wednesdays series, lemme know.
