What Do You Want to Know About Community Supported Kitchens?

I'm interviewing Jessica Prentice, co-owner of the community supported kitchen, Three Stone Hearth, and author of Full Moon Feast: Food and the Hunger for Connection, this weekend for the Big Vision Podcast, and Have Fun, Do Good.

Do you have any questions you'd like me to ask her about community supported kitchens? If you so, let me know in the comments by Saturday morning.

You can learn more about CSKs here:

  1. Hi Britt - I am wondering if Three Stoned Hearth or other community kitchens offer technical assistance (in kind or through grant-funded subcontracts) to other microentrepreneurs who want to start something similar.

  2. I hope this doesn't come across as spam... I am a fan of your blog and had no other way of contacting you...

My name is Talia, I work for a NonProfit, grassroots philanthropy organization called Citizen Effect.

Recently we conducted a fact-finding mission to the Gulf Coast with Mashable and Zoetica blogger Geoff Livingston, Live Your Talk blogger Jill Foster, and GulfCoast Benefit's Sloane Berrent.

Together we have created CitizenGulf. We recently went live with www.citizengulf.org and will officially launch the website August 1. Currently, we are announcing the CitizenGulf: National Day of Action with Catholic Charities on August 25 to coincide with the 5th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina.

The day of action seeks to help fishing families find a new, more sustainable future by providing education resources for their children.

We love your "Have Fun. Do Good" message. Would you be interested in a story like this? If so, please email me at talia.citizeneffect@gmail.com to further discuss future collaboration. I look forward to hearing from you!

  3. Christine - I asked Jessica about your question, and they are going to be doing some trainings for people who want to start CSKs. Sounds like their website is getting, updated so keep your eyes there for news about it.
