I wanted to let you know that next Tuesday, April 21st, I'll be on a panel about Networking for Everyone presented by the San Francisco Bay Area YNPN (Young Nonprofit Professionals Network). The event is from 6:15 PM - 8:15 PM at the YMCA - Embarcadero (169 Steuart St) in San Francisco.
My fellow panelists are:
Gayle Roberts, Development Director, SF LGBT Community Center
Barbara Saunders, Communications Consultant & Writer
Sherry Berman, MA, Owner, SWITCH
And here's the event blurb:
"Do you want to learn how to network or build upon your networking skills? Are you nervous about approaching a room full of strangers and making connections? Want to understand how to use social networking sites to build your professional contacts? Networking is an important asset for jobseekers and jobholders alike! A network of trusted contacts can give you an advantage in finding a job, getting access to important individuals or organizations, and is a strategy for ongoing professional development. If you would like to attend, be sure to register. Tickets are $7 for YNPN members and $10 for non-members.
Our panel of skilled nonprofit, education, and business leaders will discuss these topics and more. You’ll learn proven networking skills and have the chance to join a unique hands-on activity that will build your confidence in networking and give you an opportunity to connect with other professionals in your issue/sector of interest. Business casual attire and business cards are encouraged!"
See ya there!
