Below are some of the tips the panelists shared for how to get folks engaged for change online:
- Give instant, bite-sized feedback.
- Create an addictive experience.
- Help people feel powerful.
- Be honest.
- Be passionate.
- Be transparent.
- Provide opportunities that create measurable change.
- Involve a lot of people.
- Use the carrot.
- Use the stick.
- Focus on quality content and community, not on the technology.
- Make people feel like they are part of something bigger than themselves.
- Facilitate peer-to-peer referrals.

Hey Britt,
ReplyDeleteThanks for the shout out - and great list you have here! I didn't take as many notes as I would have liked, but I think your post captured the essence of the event quite well. Maybe I'll see you at the SoCap conference?
Cheers,
Tony
another tips I wuold give is:give people opportunities to partecipate... in their own way. widgets, banners, personal fundraising pages an anything else they can create anc costumiza by theirselves.
ReplyDeleteCheers!
