"A public service weblog promoting ethics in action. - My friends and I are often frustrated with the way society works. Soon we're all riled up and one of us will ask, 'So what can I do?' This blog is a response to that question. Together, we'll explore ways to enact social change. We each can do, and should do, something to make our world a better place. Here are some ways to get started."In the past couple months, she has posted about RockCorps, a really cool organization that produces concerts where admission is contributing four hours of community service; Blogging Against Disablism Day; Thistle Farms, "the cottage business of Magdalene – a two-year residential community for women with a criminal history of addiction and prostitution"; WOOFing, volunteering on an organic farm anywhere in the world in exchange for room and board; and resources for how to be an activist.
I love how she uses this blog to talk about how others are working for social change, and uses her complementary blog, Open Letters for Change, to posts her letters to officials and the media. Yay, Karama!
