Your (Free) October 2012 Big Vision Worksheet

The hubs is back from his work travels, and so are the Big Vision Worksheets. Yay!

The photo is from the roof of Gaudi's La Pedrera/Casa Milà in Barcelona, one of my favorite places we visited on our trip to Spain.

You can download a PDF of My October 2012 Big Vision worksheet for free from Dropbox here.

I wrote my big vision for the month under, "My October Big Vision," and then wrote my 4 actions steps, at a diagonal, near the numbers on top of the 4 funny heads. Obviously, you can write on it however works for you (:

What are some of your big visions for October?

P.S. I have three blogging classes coming up in October:
Oct. 14 (Berkeley, CA): Tea & Cupcakes with Creative Bloggers
Oct. 16-Nov. 6 (Virtual): Juicy Blogging E-Course: The Art & Play of Blogging

What's Your Big Vision for Summer 2012?

Hello Have Fun * Do Gooders!

Can you believe that we're halfway through the year, and that the first day of summer is on Wednesday? Take a look back at your Big Vision for 2012. How's it going? Do you need to change it in any way? What are your Big Visions for this summer, and this lunar month? How do they fit into your Big Vision for the year?

The hubs created another beautiful Big Vision worksheet (above) for us that you can download from Dropbox for free.  If you need help filling it out, lemme know!

Your (Free) Big Vision May/June 2012 Worksheet

Hello Have Fun, Do Gooders!

Here's your Big Vision worksheet (created by the hubs!) for the next lunar cycle (May 20-June 19). You can download a PDF of it from Dropbox by clicking on this link: http://bit.ly/KuIBWb.

Tip: I email mine to the local copy shop, and ask them to print it on their super duper color printer.  I write out my goals for the year, season, and lunar month with a Sharpie, and tack it to my home office bulletin board, so I can look at it often.

If you're having trouble filling it out, and need a "thinking partner," lemme know.

Your (Free) May/June Grow and Let Go Worksheet

This weekend I have my monthly Big Vision Circle meeting where six friends get together to discuss our big visions, celebrate our successes, and brainstorm solutions to our challenges.  In September we'll have been meeting for 10 years!

Over the past year, the hubs has been illustrating beautiful Big Vision Worksheets for us to record what we want to grow and let go of between now and our next meeting.

Inspired by our recent viewing of the film, Queen of the Sun, he's created a sunflower and bees themed worksheet, which you can download for free from Dropbox at http://bit.ly/mayjunegrowandletgo.

You can write what you want to grow and let go of on, or around the flowers and bees. Writing with a black sharpie works best.

I've been thinking about creating a virtual Big Vision Circle for folks who would like to have accountability for their goals and dreams.  The calls would be once a month for 1-1.5 hours with a limit of 8 people per call.  You'd make a commitment to work with the group for a season/3 months.

Is that something that would interest you?

Your (Free) Spring Grow and Let Go Worksheet

How are your 7 Dreams for 2011 going?

These first few weeks of spring are a good time to dust off your New Year's wishes and review them.

The hubs has created a Spring Grow and Let Go Worksheet for you to jot down what you want to grow (in the circles), and what you want to let go of (in the clouds) this spring.

You can download the worksheet for free from Dropbox by clicking on http://bit.ly/KPo4xa

Your 7 New Year's Dreams for 2011 (Free Worksheets)

Happy New Year Have Fun, Do Gooders!

The hubs illustrated 8 worksheets you can use to record your 2011 dreams.  You can download them (for free) from Dropbox at http://bit.ly/2011dreamtree.

How to Use Your DreamTree Worksheets

The first page has your DreamTree on it, blossoming with colorful eggs, where you can write words and phrases that capture your dreams for 2011.

You'll also notice three gray balloons floating off into the distance.  Sometimes we have to let go of old dreams, to make room for new ones.  You can jot the dreams you're willing to let go of this year inside the gray balloons.

Finally, the remaining 7 pages are close-ups of the colored eggs.  We figured you'd need more space to make a to-do list, or to describe your dream in words or images.

If you'd like help filling in your DreamTree, I'm offering a special 2011 New Year's discount of  $20.11 off one-hour of Big Vision Consulting when you use the discount code DREAMTREE2011 between now and January 11, 2011.

Have fun!

Your Free, Fun December/January 2010/11 Big Vision Worksheet

Hello Have Fun, Do Gooders!

My Big Vision Worksheet illustrator, the hubs, has been swamped with work lately so our newest Big Vision Worksheet is coming out a few days after the new moon.  A BIG thanks to him for creating it for us when he's so busy. If you want to thank him yourself, drop him a line (:

You can download the worksheet from Dropbox here.  You can view all of the 2010 worksheets here.

The dates on this one are kinda funny 'cause we're at the end of the year.  Because the Winter section goes into January, you could start writing your 2011 goals in the Big Vision section too, but personally, I kinda like the idea of staying with your 2010 goals in the Big Vision section, and then getting a hint of your 2011 goals in the Winter Section.

The next New Moon is January 4th, so you could dip your toe in the water of your 2011 goals there too, or just think of this next lunar month as a time to wrap up your 2010 Big Vision before envisioning 2011.

**************************************

One of the things on my new moon goal list is to put together a class about The Art of Blogging: Creating Juicy Content for Artists, Writers, Creative Entrepreneurs and Do-Gooders.  I'd love to know, from those of you who might be interested in taking the class, your preferences:

1. Format: virtual or in-person?
2. Number of sessions: 1, 2, 4, 6, 8?
3. How do you learn best: e-book, phone/teleclass, video, audio/mp3, webinar, discussion?

Your Free, Fun November/December 2010 Big Vision Worksheet

It's a rainy Sunday here in the Bay Area.  A good day to mull over goals/wishes/big visions for the next lunar month.

You can download your free Big Vision Worksheet (illustrated by my hubs) from Dropbox here.

As always, you'll want to start with your 3 big vision goals for 2010. Then, write down 3 goals (related to your 2010 goals) that you'd like to complete before fall ends (December 21).  Finally, write down 3 goals (related to your 2010 and fall goals) that you'd like to accomplish before the end of the lunar month (December 5th).

Your Free, Fun October/November 2010 Big Vision Worksheet

It's that time of the month again, Have Fun Do Gooders.

Today was the new moon, a great day to set your goals, intentions, and wishes for the next lunar month (Oct. 7-Nov. 5).

My hubs illustrated another bee-u-tee-full worksheet that you can download for free from Dropbox here.

I hope you'll take a little time for yourself tonight, on your lunch break tomorrow, or during the long weekend to think about, and jot down:

Your Three Big Vision Goals for 2010
What are three things you'd like to accomplish before the end of 2010?

Your 3 Fall Goals (Sept. 23-Dec. 21)
What are three things, related to your 2010 goals, that you'd like to accomplish this fall?

Your 3 October/November Goals (Oct. 7-Nov. 5)
What are three things you'd like to accomplish during this lunar month, related to your fall goals?

For example:
  • One thing I would like to do by the end of 2010 is to have prepared our front yard so that I can plant a larger garden in the spring.
  • By the end of this fall, I want to have cleared and weeded the whole yard of the tall grasses I've let take it over.
  • This lunar month, I want to have at least re-weeded the part I originally cleared this summer, as well as harvest all the veggies I've grown.
P.S. As the year winds down, the hubs and I are thinking about the 2011 worksheet series (Should we continue?  If so, how/what should we change about them?).  If you'd like us to continue offering the worksheets, or if you have any suggestions for how to design them to better meet your needs, please let us know.

We've also got the autumn equinox coming up on September 23rd so it's time to dust off your goals for the year and figure out what actions you want to commit to this fall to help you reach your 2010 Big Vision.

Your Free, Fun August/September 2010 Big Vision Worksheet

Hello Have Fun, Do Gooders!

I was in NYC for the 2010 BlogHer Conference, and on a little vacation, so I'm a couple days late posting this month's August/September 2010 Big Vision Worksheet (illustrated by my hubs).

You can download the PDF from Dropbox here.  If you have any trouble accessing it, let me know.

We'll be talking about how to use the worksheet during the August 17th teleclass, How to Start a Big Vision Circle to Support Your Creative Dream at 5:30 PM PT/8:30 PM ET.  Even if you can't make the call, an mp3 recording will be available if you aren’t able to join us live.  I hope you can make it!

Your Free, Fun July/August 2010 Big Vision Worksheet

Happy summer Saturday, Have Fun, Do Gooders!

I've posted the newest July/August Big Vision Worksheet (illustrated by my hubs).

You can download the PDF from Dropbox to fill it out on, or near the new moon tomorrow, July 11th.

I like to start by filling out my 3 biggest 2010 goals (Don't worry if yours change throughout the year, that's normal). Then, I fill out my 3 biggest summer goals, which hopefully relate in some way to my 2010 goals. Finally, I write out my 3 biggest goals for this lunar cycle (new moon, July 11-new moon, Aug 9), which are usually related to my summer goals.

Here are a couple questions to ask yourself when filling out this month's worksheet:

• Am I excited about my goals? Am I choosing them because I really want to achieve them, or because I think I should achieve them?

• Are they big enough? Am I setting goals to reach my dreams, or am I limiting myself?

• Are they doable? Do I have enough time, energy and resources to accomplish them when I want to? Do I need to break them down into smaller steps?

Your Free, Fun Summer 2010 Big Vision Goal Worksheet

After a little hiatus last month, the Big Vision Goal Worksheet is back! You can download it from Dropbox by clicking here.

I have to say, I think this is the prettiest one yet. You can see the other ones my hubs designed this year by clicking here.

Tomorrow is the new moon, a time when I like to revise, or recommit to my goals, dreams, and intentions for the month, season, and year.

We're also almost halfway through 2010 with the first day of summer coming up on June 21st.

Take a little time this weekend with your worksheet nearby to think about what is really important to you.
  • How do you want to spend your time?
  • What are the things you love to do, but you don't make them a priority?
  • What are the changes you promised yourself you'd make at the beginning of 2010, but still need to take action on?
  • What are goals you had at the beginning of the year that you need to let go of, and change?
As always, I recommend that you start by filling out your 2010 goals first. Then, make your goals for the summer in relation to your 2010 goals. For example, if one of your 2010 goals is to exercise three days a week, make a commitment to exercise two days a week during the summer. You can amp it up to three in the fall (:

Finally, make your monthly goals relate to your summer goals. For example, commit to walking every Tuesday and Thursday after work with a friend for a month. If that doesn't work for you, you can always change the day, time, or activity next month, but for now, make the commitment.

We make these worksheets 'cause its fun for us, but we also want them to be useful to you so please give us feedback about how you're using them, and features you'd like added, or taken away.

Free, Fun Making Time for Happiness Worksheet

Happy Monday, Have Fun Do Gooders!

As you regular readers know, for the past few new moons I've been posting Big Vision Goal worksheets for you to download, and fill out each month. I also share them with my various big vision goal setting partners, and groups.

When I went to fill out my own worksheet last month, I found myself feeling very unexcited about my goals, and goal-setting in general. This constant aspiring towards a time in the future when things would be "better" was getting old. Interestingly, my other big vision partners were feeling the same way as well.

I started thinking about some of the things that I already know make me happy right now, but I just need to make a little more time to do them like:
  • being in nature
  • taking a dance class
  • spending quality time with the hubs
  • connecting with friends
  • going to social/community events
  • cooking and baking
  • making stuff (sew, embroider, collage, etc.)
So, that's what I did between the April and May new moons. I made time for happiness by committing to:
  • Dancing 2-3 x per week
  • Being in nature 1 x per week
  • Seeing friends/going to a social event each week
  • Spending quality time with the hubs 2 x per week
  • Cooking/baking 3-4 x week
  • Making 1-2 things (sewing/embroidery/collage, etc.) over the month
I wasn't always successful for making time for everything, but I definitely did better than if I hadn't tried at all sooooo, this month the hubs designed a bee-you-tee-full Making Time for Happiness worksheet that you can download by clicking here.

You can write in the big flower's petals (and the little flowers' petals too, if you want), ways that you want to make time for happiness over this lunar month (the next new moon is June 13).

Feel free to share how you are going to make time for happiness in the comments below. Enjoy!

Big Vision New Moon Worksheet for Your April/May Goals

Happy New Moon!

According to the Farmer's Almanac:
  • "The New Moon and first quarter, or waxing phases, are considered fertile and wet.

  • The new and first-quarter phases, known as the light of the Moon, are considered good for planting above-ground crops, putting down sod, grafting trees, and transplanting."
It's a good day for not only planting real seeds, but also for planting the "seeds" of your dreams, goals, wishes, and intentions for the next month.

My hubs illustrated a spring-themed Big Vision worksheet (see the cute eggs in the nest?) for you to download and fill out.

Here is the dropbox link to download the PDF. Let me know if you have any trouble with it.

Those of you who downloaded the Feb/March and March/April worksheets know the drill. Remember, it is OK if your goals grow and change. Don't be afraid to revise your 2010 and seasonal goals each month.

For newbies, start by writing down your three big goals for 2010.

Take one of those 2010 goals, and write down what you would like to achieve, related to that goal, during the spring (March 20-June 21).

Then, write down one thing you would like to achieve related to your spring goal during the next lunar month (April 14-May 13).

Repeat the process for your other two 2010 goals.

If you feel yourself tightening up around making goals, put your feet on the floor, take a deep breath, look around, and relax! Think of your goals as little wishes you're making.

Know that writing them down, looking at them throughout the month, and taking small steps towards achieving them will make them a little more likely to come true, and if they don't, no biggie! You have next month to review them, decide if you need to take different actions, and make new ones.

The most important thing is to have fun with it (:
