World Cup: Who to Cheer For?

It is 7:49 AM in California right now, and there are 7 people in our living room watching the US v. Ghana game. We even made "bleachers"--a long cupboard that you can sit on behind the couch so more people could watch.

The World Development Movement has created an online tool called, Who Should
I Cheer For?
that evaluates all the World Cup teams by:

Life expectancy
National income per person
Military spending
Aid spending
Carbon emissions
Income inequality
Health spending
External debt
Perception of corruption
Companies among world's largest 500 multinational's

According to the site, "Ghana's average ranking across all the ten criteria make it the 1st most supportable team in the World Cup"

Shhh. Don't tell anyone, but I'm rooting for Ghana.

I found the site through the blog, It's Getting Hot In Here: Dispatches from the Global Youth Climate Movement
